Bobcats Charge back @ Macon County

The Dooly County Bobcats dug themselves into a big hole Friday night up in Montezuma. Down by 16 points at halftime 36-17. The Bobcats continued to plug away at the home standing Bulldogs out scoring them 20 to 12 in the third stanza to pull within 8. The Cats got 18 in the 4th period to Macon County’s 12 and fell short by two losing a 57-55 decision. Josten McGhee led the Cats with 15 points and got help from Jar’Quavius Brown and Bo Lawson who both dropped in 10 each. As a team the Cats shot 29% from the field and 50% at the line. They also pulled down 27 rebounds, 21 steals and 3 assists. The Bobcats are now 3-7 on the year and 3-4 in region play.

The Bobcats will be home Thursday night hosting a powerful Wilcox County team and Friday they host Mount de Sales Academy.

In Lady Bobcat action the Bulldogs smothered the Cats 79-37. Takerria Lee had 10 points and Malaysia Manning led the Lady Cats with 11 points. As a team the Cats shot 24% from the field had 16 rebounds, 8 steals, 2 assists and 30 turnovers. The loss put the lady cats at 2-8 on the year with a 1 and 6 report card in region play.
