CORDELE — Wesley Dwain Yawn, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Yawn was a native of Wilcox Co. and the son to the late Joe Wesley Yawn and the late Ella Mae Nobles Yawn. He was a carpenter and a member of Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching nature. Mr. Yawn enjoyed his family, grandchildren and being sociable.

He is survived by his sons: Rodney Yawn of Hawkinsville, Ga., Derek Yawn of Tallahassee, Fl., Joey Yawn and his wife Kelly of Albany, Ga.; grandchildren: Wesley Lee Yawn, Ashley Michelle Clack, Brady Yawn and Olivia Yawn; great-grandchildren: Carsyn Clack and Colton Clack.
