David Wayne “Cat Fish” Kennedy, 39, of Pitts died unexpectedly Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services.  The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. David was born in Cordele and was the son of Larry Wayne Kennedy and Elizabeth Elaine Kennedy. He was a farmer. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a collector of miniature John Deere tractors and also enjoyed searching for and collecting arrowheads. He is survived by his wife, Samantha Kennedy of Pitts;  a daughter, Kylea Crawford of Lake City, FL;  his mother, Elizabeth Elaine Kennedy of Pitts;  a brother, Steven Kennedy of Pitts;  and two sisters, Tammie Peacock and Ashley Kennedy, both of Pitts. David was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wayne Kennedy and two brothers, Richard Kennedy and Jessie Kennedy. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
