Update on 280 Shooting

The victim in a Saturday evening shooting at a residence on 280 east of Cordele has been identified as 33 year old Joshua Pakula. According to Sheriff Billy Hancock, Pakula was shot in the chest with a .410 shotgun and remains in critical condition in Macon.

Arrested on unrelated charges was Michael Underwood of 3500 Hwy 280 east.Underwood had warrants for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and pointing a gun at another. Catrina Hodges for probation violation and Demetrius “Pete” Collins on probation violation and warrants from Turner County. A 4th suspect Michael “Robbie” Poole has fled the scene and is being sought for questioning in the incident. No charges have been filed in relation to the shooting as of now.” Right now we are working diligently to find out exactly what happened and our prayers are with the family and Joshua for a full recovery,” said Sheriff Hancock.
