Lady Wildcats still plugging away

The Crisp Academy Lady Wildcats defeated the Oak Mountain Academy Lady Warriors 57-32 to advance to the final four of State AA GISA Basketball. The Lady Wildcats got 17 points from Senior Sydney Wells along with 10 rebounds for a double-double and 13 for Kaylee Moore and 10 each for Maddie and Taylor, Milani. Claire McGarr had 8 points and 7 rebounds and Maddie Milani also had 7 rebounds.

Next up for the ladies is a trip to Mercer University this Thursday at 2:30pm where they will take on Brentwood Academy. “I am very happy with the lady’s performance,” said Head Coach Gina Mitchell. “They are playing strong defense and their hard work is paying off.” The lady cat’s next opponent Brentwood is checking into the contest with a 22-6 record. “Brentwood has good guards and they are quick, we have to eliminate turnovers and get past their press,” Mitchell added.
