The Cordele Police Department made a huge burglary arrest this past Sunday. Arrested for burglary and drug possession was 30-year-old Scott Sprague of Cordele.

According to Detective Carrie Lull, Sprague was apprehended at his home after a description of him was given to police. Sprague is accused of entering and taking items from a storage unit on East 13th Avenue. The victim in the case noticed his lock gone and went to get a new one. Upon returning, he observed Sprague leaving the scene in a blue-colored Chevrolet Colorado. Upon securing search warrants for his North 4th Street residence, Sprague was found to be in possession of an enormous amount of stolen property and drugs packaged for sale.

Sprague faces drug charges as well as several counts of Burglary. The Cordele Police department asks that if you have recently been a victim of a burglary or theft that you contact Detective Lull to see if any of the items discovered maybe your property.

Sprague bonded out on a $12,000.00 bond on Wednesday.
