Funeral services for Gloria Norton Dozier of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Peavy United Methodist Church with the interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Gloria  passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  She was born in Clio, Barbour County, AL to the late A.V. Norton and Phyllis Dorothy Phillips Norton.  Gloria was a homemaker and a member of Peavy United Methodist Church.  She is survived by her son and his wife, Tommy and Pam Dozier of Cordele;  a granddaughter and her husband, Heather Dara and Daniel Fore of Cordele; a grandson, Drake Thomas Dozier of Statesboro;  three brothers and their wives, Hubert E. and Ruth Norton of Destin, FL, James H. and Lynn Norton of Tampa, FL and  Jack T. and Melanie Norton of Murfreesboro, TN;  a sister and her husband, Lenora and Charles Cape of Cordele; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Donald M. Dozier and Darryl Dozier; siblings, Donnell Norton, Sr., Jerry W. Norton, Louise Berry, Betty Whittington and Joyce Cook; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Pat Dozier.
