LOGANVILLE — Doris Hayes Grogan, 90, of  Snellville, Ga. formally of Cordele, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Southern Plantation.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sunnyside Cemetery. Rev. Dave Ratcliff will officate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m.

Doris, a native of Cordele, Ga., is the daughter of Walter W. Hayes and Sallie Wright Hayes. She is also preceded in death by her sisters: Mildred Hayes, Erin H. Rainey, Maxie Hayes, Beazie Hayes, Sallie Mae Hayes and Bernice H. Faircloth.

She was formerly worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta and was a retired secretary for DeKalb General Hospital. She was also a member of the Lucerne Baptist Church in Lilburn, Ga.

Doris is survived by her husband of 58 years: Allen Reese Grogan, Jr. of Snellville, Ga.; her son: Sean (Shari) Grogan of Richmond, Va.; her daughter: Kelley Marie Grogan-Saunders of Snellville; her granddaughter: Darby Grogan and Jazmin Saunders
