First Responders have been manning the phones all day in Crisp County.

After two rounds of intense and violent weather this afternoon. It appears as now that the remaining storm can be downgraded to thunderstorms. As of right now radar doesn’t show any tornado activity headed our way. Crisp County Sheriff and EMA director Billy Hancock stated he was very proud of all of our local first responders. The Crisp S.O., Cordele PD, Crisp EMS, Crisp Fire and Rescue, the Crisp County Power Commission, the Dooly County Sheriffs Office and Wilcox SO have all been on top of this storm from the start. The all weather station located at the Crisp Law Enforcement Center is proving to be a valuable asset to this and surrounding counties. Stay tuned to the Cordele Dispatch for any developments.
