Mr. Virgle H. Walls, 97, of Warwick died Friday, April 28, 2017 at his son’s residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with interment following in the Rocky Mount Church Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Ward and Rev. John Leab officiated.

Mr. Walls was born on December 12, 1919 in Warwick to the late Adolph Bryant and Laura White Walls. He had lived in Worth County and worked as farmer all his life. Mr. Walls enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry H. and Patricia Gamble Walls of Warwick; granddaughter, Suzzanne Smith (Donnie) of Warwick; great-grandchildren, Hagan, Payton and Kolton Smith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Walls was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Oliver Walls on August 10, 2010.

Pallbearers included Donnie Smith, Clay Oliver, Clint Oliver, Shane Calhoun, Todd Moore and Charles Hardin.
