The investigation into the early morning fire on Saturday, May 13, 2017, continues.

As the investigation continues, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have identified Carlton Lester, 30, of Cordele, Georgia as the victim who died in the early morning fire and have arrested Salinda Hamilton, 27, of Cordele, Georgia. Salinda Hamilton was arrested and charged with Felony Murder in addition to several other charges.

Chief Rob Rodriguez said, “Any homicide investigation is tough; however, due to the steadfast resolve of the Agents and the Investigators involved in this case, we were able to make an arrest in this case.”
