The Cordele Advisory Board to the Chief of Police met for the first time at City Hall. Chief Rob Rodriguez organized a board of diversified local citizens. Their job will be to advise the Chief on matters of internal policy and external cooperation as liasons to the general public. Chief Lang of Moultrie came and spoke with the 11-man group and discussed how the board operated and the good it has done them in Moultrie. A basic plan of what the board will do was laid out and the new members were shown many of areas of help that they can be of assistance to the Police Department.  More details and release of board member names will be in an upcoming edition.
