Bernard Ford the Wide Receiver from Crisp County High who went on to great success at Central Florida University is now on the ballot for induction into the college football hall of fame.. Ford played at Crisp County from the fall of 1981 through the fall of 1984. Ford an All-State receiver and one of only two men from Crisp County to play pro-football in the NFL is listed in the Division II section because Central Florida was at the time in Division II. He was a first team All-American and a finalist in the Harlon Hill Award, which is often referred to as the Division II Heisman Trophy. Ford  was drafted 66th overall  and in the 3^rd round in 1988 by the Buffalo Bills. He was traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Ford still owns 10 receiving records at Central Florida. The announcement will not take place until January 8, 2018. Given the fact that there have been 5.19 million college football players and only 987 inducted just getting on the ballot is a huge honor.
