A funeral mass for Robert Wayne Torres of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Thursday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. The Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wayne, 70, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Medical Center of Central Georgia.  Born in Key West, FL, he was a power lineman in the construction industry and a veteran of the United States Army. A wonderful father, grandfather, son and brother, Wayne worked hard his entire life to give to his family and even those that were not, but those that had a need. He was an artist, musician and an outstanding chef. He is survived by his children, BobbyLynn Torres of Auburn, WA, Tracy Marie Klodt of Modesto, CA, Christal Taft and her fiance, Joe Bruegeman of Chewelah, WA, Karla Taylor and her husband, Julian of Addy, WA, Susan Louise Torres and her fiance, Donzale Johnson of Valley, WA and Timothy Wayne Torres of Sedro Wooley, WA.; his mother, Mary Ruth Ciecmierowski of Cordele; a brother and his wife, Dennis and Leslie Torres of Eldorado Hills, CA; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was also an honorary step-dad to four other boys in his life. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Charles Reynold Torres, Sr., his step-father, John Joseph Ciecmieroski, siblings, Charles Reynold Torres, Jr. and Susan Louise Fernandez and a granddaughter, Braden Torres.
