A memorial service for Ellis Mark Payne of Arabi will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church Of Cordele. Rev. Joe Brookshire will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Mr. Payne, 56, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his residence.  Born in Greensboro, he was the son of the late Ellis Eugene Payne and Mildred Higdon Payne. Mr. Payne was a mechanic.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Suchdolski-Payne of Arabi;  four daughters, Melissa King and her fiance, David Soto of Chula, René Payne and her fiance, Nathan Chase of Woodstock, Heidi Taylor and her husband, Daniel of Cordele and Lauren Clifton and her husband, Jon of Greensboro; three step-sons, Matthew Suchdolski, Steven Suchdolski and David Suchdolski, all of Poolesville, MD; a brother, Tim Payne of Kennesaw; and seven grandchildren.
