Merlene Reynolds, 85, of Cordele passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry “Buddy” Reynolds. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will meet with friends immediately following the service. Merlene was born in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Nelson and Muriel Carrier Fountain.  She was a real estate agent and had worked for many years with National Realty Company. She was a faithful and active member of Cordele First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed smocking. She is survived by her children, a son and his wife, Richard Nelson and Pam Reynolds of Savannah and a daughter and her husband, Leslie and Tom Sinnott of Cordele;  four grandchildren, Jeremy Reynolds, Olivia Reynolds, Melanie Daniels and Stephanie Sinnott; and her beloved Black Lab, Joe.
