Funeral services for Jaden Lee “Mitch” Mitchell, age 7 of Cordele, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Cordele First Baptist Church. The committal service will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service Fridaybeginning at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Mitch, as he was affectionately known, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Macon Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was born in Tifton and was the son of Ronnie Clyde York and Georgia Ann Brunson York. He was a member of Cordele First Baptist Church and a student at Crisp County Primary School. All those who knew him saw a beautiful and brilliant child who gave all that he had, and had,saw nor showed any prejudice to others. Other than his parents, Ronnie and Georgia York of Cordele, he is survived by five siblings, Aaron York, Tyler York, Ashleigh Bedford, Mandy Stoyle and Tony Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Cathy Brunson of Sylvester; aunts and uncles, Gloria and Allen Stephens, Amy and Travis Daniels, Kristy and Jesse York and Sebrinna Baker, all of Cordele and Chris and Jennifer Hunt of Sylvester. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jeffrey E. Brunson and Arvel Clyde York, Jr. and Charlotte Ann Burnette York. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
