CORDELE – Funeral services for Charles R. Register of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the chapel Of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

     The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Charles, 78, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his residence.

     Born in Alcolu, SC, he was the son of the late James Ralph Register and Ruth Scott Sessions.  He was a graduate of Ashburn High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from Crisp County Power Commission and attended Midway Methodist Church. Charles loved his family, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed golf and woodworking but there was a special place in his heart for Georgia football. Go Dawgs.

     He is survived by his children and their spouses, Ronnie and Amy Register of Cochran, and Beth and David Smith and Jamie and Tina Register, all of Cordele; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Register of Perry; grandchildren, Chuck Register and his wife, Skyler, Kerry Everidge and her husband, Dustin, Jordan Smith, Brett Register, Chandler Register, D.J. Googe, John Googe and Sydney Googe; one great-grandchild, Brady Everidge; and a brother and his wife, Jimmy and Betsy Register of Callahan, FL.
