PIANO RECITAL HELD IN VIENNA

Ms. Arlette Young held a piano recital for her students at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Vienna on June 24.  The program opened with a greeting from Ms. Young, followed by the praying of the Lord’s Prayer.  A selection, “Thank You, Lord”, was sung.  Four students played five selections.

     Ta’zsa Wiggins, 13, is the daughter of Ricky Wiggins and J’lia Lester of Vienna.  She is an eighth grader at DCMS, an honor roll student, and the pianist for the choir at her church, Peasant Valley Baptist Church.  She played “Take Me to the King”, “Brahm’s Lullaby”, “My God Is Awesome”, “Every Praise”, and “Lift Every Voice”.

     Talexiah Crane, 14, is the daughter of Israel and Demier Crane of Vienna.  She is a ninth grader at DCHS, honor roll student and the assistant secretary of the Andante and Accelerando Fine Arts Club.  She is a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.  She played “Moonlight Sonata”, “Seven Years”, “Say Something”, “When I See You Again”, and “This Is What You Came For”.

     Christian Copeland, 10, is the son of Bobby Copeland and Keeke Laurence.  He is a fifth grader, honor roll student, and vice-president of the Andante and Accelerando Fine Arts Club.  He is a member of the St. Mark Baptist Church and the pianist for the youth choir.  He played “My House”, “Stressed Out”, “Father, Can You Hear Me?”, “Stronger Than You”, and “Count On Me”.

     Kia McCloud, 15, is the daughter of Jeffery and Katrina McCloud.  She is a tenth grader at CCHS, where she is a member of the band and an honor roll student.  She is the treasurer of the Andante and Accelerando Fine Arts Club and a member of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church.  She played “How Great Is Our God”, “Worth”, “He’s Able”, “Stand By Me”, and “Hello”.

     Ms. Young presented her students with trophies and cards.  After remarks by the audience, the grace was rendered by Ms. Young and everyone enjoyed dinner in the church annex.
