CORDELE — Funeral services for Lavelia White will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. until the hour of the funeral.

Mrs. White died Monday evening, August 28, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was born in Rebecca, Ga. and was the daughter Parker Lawson McGlamry and Rosa Inez McElmurray McGlamry. She was the widow of William Jessie White. She was a homemaker and charter member of the Peavy Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful cook and a great lover of animals.

She is survived by her sons: Dr. Kim (Heather) White and Ben White all of Cordele; and her grandchildren: Christian White, Joshua White and Addie White.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Reflections Hospice, 202 East Fourth Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
