Margaret C. Howell, age 76 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 24^th in the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour before the service from 2-3 PM in the church. Pastor Phil West and Pastor Nelson Goddard will officiate.

Mrs. Howell was born on August 30, 1941 in Rochelle, Ga. She was daughter of the late Lloyd D. Cross and Hartie Ruth Cox Cross. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle and attended the Agape Sunday School Class. She was a retired bookkeeper with Rochelle Drugs and was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a former den mother for Cub Scouts and was a former member of the Dogwood Garden Club. She is preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Young in 2014.

Survivors include: husband-Wendell Howell of Rochelle, sons-Wen (Rhonda) Howell of Rochelle and Gary (Holly) Howell of Rochelle, daughters-Susan (Lee) Webb of Marietta and Stephanie Howell of Rochelle, brothers-Delette Cross of Whidbey Island, Washington, Henry Cross of Cordele and John Cross of Pitts, sister-Martha Thompson of Pitts, grandchildren-Drew Howell, Haley Howell, Jake Howell, Mary Madelyn Howell, Lakeyn Howell, Dylan Parker, Ragan Parker, Kendall Webb and Kiley Webb.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the COPD Foundation, Attn: donations, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Miami , Florida 33134 or the National Kidney Foundation, 270 Peachtree St., Suite 1040, Atlanta, Ga. 30303.
