PINEHURST — Fullington Academy’s 145 mile trip back to Pinehurst became that much better following a 44-26 win over host Johnson Ferry Christian Academy.

Heading into the game, Head Coach Lee Hamner said the focus would be on working on themselves and not worrying about the trip up to Atlanta.

The week of preparation paid off as the Trojans snapped a four game skid. Fullington Academy has one game remaining this Friday at home as they take on Unity Prep Academy.

Both teams are tied at 1-1 in the region, with this game determining which team will be the No. 2 seed in the region and have the right to host a playoff game.

Unity Prep (3-2) is coming off of a 22-8 loss to Calvary Christian. Interestingly, all three of the Fullington Academy wins have come away from home this year, while Unity Prep has played poorly on the road.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
