Funeral services for William Don Odom of Warwick will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Warwick United Methodist Church with the committal service following in Warwick Methodist Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the social hall of the church. William, 81,  passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Cordelia Manor.  A native of Worth County, he was the son of the late Henry Doss and Ruby Lee Odom. He attended the University of Georgia and was retired from inventory management with the Marine Corp Logistics Base. A farmer at heart he still enjoyed his cows and the land. He was a very active member of Warwick Methodist church. He had served on the Administrative Board and had taught Sunday School for many years. His biggest pleasure though came from watching his grandchildren play ball. William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise Jackson Odom of Warwick; two children and their spouses, Don and Dawn Odom and Teresa and Jeffrey Smith, all of Cordele; and four grandchildren, Madison Odom, Peyton Odom, Jake Smith and Amanda Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Max Odom, Sr., Ikella O. Gilmore and Neva Lee Houston. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
