Armed Robberies in Cordele

CORDELE – On Tuesday, November 7 at about 7:50 p.m., Cordele Police Officers responded to an armed robbery call at AutoZone located at 619 E. 19th Ave. in Cordele. Officers learned that two masked gunmen ran to the front doors of AutoZone and attempted to enter, but the doors were locked. The gunmen fled the scene on foot.

Later at approximately 9:10 p.m. that same night, Cordele Police received a second armed robbery call, this time at Mitchell’s Bait and Tackle located at 902 W. 16th Ave., Cordele. Two masked gunmen entered the front door and demanded money. The clerk was injured during the incident and an unknown amount of cash was taken. The gunmen left the area on foot.
