Beauty in this Magical Season

CORDELE – This magical season, our community will be glowing with Christmas spirit.  As the holiday draws nearer, you will not have to drive far to see the vibrant sparkling lights of the new outdoor light displays on Hwy 280, 16th Avenue, here in Cordele, GA.

During the festive season, Crisp County Power Commission worker, Jonathan Moody and other employees have adorned our community with 4 different types of new displays totaling 132 new decorations.  There are double bells, candy canes, stockings and a beautiful Christmas tree with golden star atop.  The decorations will be placed on light poles from Norboard on the West end of Hwy, 280 stretching to the East end reaching Sunbelt Ford.

Coordinated by The Chamber of Commerce, these beautiful decorations were the combined efforts of a committee of individuals.  All these citizens were from the City of Cordele, Crisp County, Crisp County Power Commission, The Cordele-Crisp Chamber and Cordele-Crisp Tourism.

Working with Crisp County High School wood working teacher and students, the decorations will be stored on wooden racks.  These racks will be placed at J. S. Pate School with special thanks to the Crisp County Board of Education.

Crisp County Power Commission employees have always been especially helpful in the coordination and hanging of our decorations.  Our appreciation also to the committee for their work on this project.
