REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION

 Atlanta – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens announces today that a Nov. 30, warehouse fire in Dooly County has been ruled arson.

The fire, which was reported around 8 p.m., destroyed the vacant Roseburg Forest Products warehouse, formerly owned by Georgia-Pacific. The structure, located off of Highway 41 in Vienna, Ga., was destroyed by the blaze. Damage is estimated at $500,000.

“My investigator determined that this fire was intentionally set,” Commissioner Hudgens said. “I am seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the individual(s) responsible for this fire.”

Commissioner Hudgens is requesting the assistance of the public with the solving of this arson. Anyone with any information about this fire is asked to call his office at 1-800-282-5804. Calls are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and callers may choose to remain anonymous. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction this arsonist(s).
