Crisp Co. Power Commission Announces Appointment

At its regular December meeting, the Crisp County Power Commission created a new position of Assistant General Manager and announced Michael Ivey would fill the position. Ivey has been an employee of the Power Commission since 2014 and currently holds the position of Manager of Technical Services. In that position, he supervises the engineering, substation operations, meter shop and warehouse inventory and provides technical support to the Generation Department.

Ivey holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Mercer University. Prior to his employment by the commission, Michael was employed by Electric Cities of Georgia and McLean Engineering. He is currently president-elect of the Cordele Kiwanis Club and chair of the Central Georgia section of IEEE. Ivey and his wife, Carol reside in Cordele.
