February 17, 2018

At 3:55 p.m., officers responded to 817 16th Ave (Little Caesars) in reference to a hit and run accident that occurred. The complainant followed the vehicle and was able to provide officers with the tag number of the vehicle in question.

February 21, 2018

At 2:13 a.m., officers responded to 404 East 16th Ave (Twice the Ice) in reference to a burglary. The owner reported that between 2:13 and 2:21 two unknown subjects entered into the self-dispensary ice machine on location. $15 in cash was taken, and the automated cash payment system was damaged.

At 12:42 p.m., officers arrested Tramine Walker then issued her a citation at 102 E 14th Ave (Fred’s Pharmacy) for theft by shoplifting. She was observed, by employees at Fred’s, concealing six items on her person while in the store.

At 9:32 p.m., officers responded to 1515 E 16th Ave (Wendy’s) in reference to an assault.

February 22, 2018

At approximately midnight, officers responded to North 1st St apartments in reference to a robbery. The victim reported that on the morning of 22nd February 2018, between 12:00 and 12:30, that two black male subjects jumped him and struck him in the face and head with closed fists on North 2nd Ave, just North of the CSX rail line. The subjects then removed $100 from the victim’s pocket. One of the attackers was identified as “Deon”, but no other information was known at the time of the report.

February 23, 2018

At 8:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to 415 E 20th Ave in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, a witness told officers that there were two men at her home trying to sell cleaning supplies.

February 24, 2018

At 2:45 p.m., officers responded to 1613 East 16th Ave (McDonald’s) in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival and further investigation, the offender in the case, Alexandria Lorene Harmon, was cited and charged with disorderly conduct on a city ordinance.

At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a retail theft at Wal-Mart. Officers were advised by Asset Protection that they saw the suspect, Ashantia Brown, placing items into bags without paying for them. Brown was searched and then taken to the Crisp County Jail.

At 8:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1215 E 16th Ave (Wal-Mart) in reference to a shoplifting. Upon arrival, an officer was advised that a black female had concealed two boxes of hair dye in her purse.

At 9:49 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 1506 Pine Acres Dr. in reference to a disturbance.

February 25, 2018

At 1:10 p.m., officers responded to 402 East 7th Ave in reference to a Burglary. Upon arrival, an officer made contact with the complainant, who stated that he came home to find that his whole A/C unit was gone from the residence. There was also a pillow missing from the complainant’s bed. The case was turned over to the Detectives Unit.

At 4:25 p.m., officers responded to 16th Ave @ 8th St in reference to a hit and run. The victim stated that he was stopped on 16th Ave and 8th St due to a train on the tracks when he was struck from behind by a white female driving a burgundy Toyota Tacoma with a camper shell on the back. The victim got out of his vehicle to make contact with the female but she fled the scene traveling east on 16th Ave. The victim followed the suspect until he lost sight of the vehicle.

At 5:25 p.m., officers responded to 411 West 19th Ave in reference to Criminal Trespass. The complainant stated that the residence belonged to her and she had spent some time the previous day boarding up the back door after finding it open. After coming to check on the residence she found some damage to the back door. Damage was observed on the door as if an attempt to gain entry into the residence was made, but access was not gained due to the board that had been nailed to the back door. The complainant stated that she was told that there have been juvenile boys seen on the property at night. The residence was placed on Increased Patrol for nighttime hours.
