Cordele Police Department Reports May 2 through May 6

Wednesday, May 2

At 6:37 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 196 Hwy 300 in reference to serving a warrant. Upon arrival, Laura Gill, of Cordele, was arrested for probation violation.

At 8:17 p.m., police responded to a Burglary at 612 Blackshear Rd (Morningside Homes).

At 9:40 p.m., Cordele Police made contact with a blue Izuzu Rodea in reference to a non-functioning tag light in the 1300 block of East 16th Ave. Joron Starks was arrested for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked and non-functioning tag light.

Thursday, May 4

At 10:46 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Quick Mart at 501 West 16th Ave in reference to a disturbance in the parking lot. Amira Fullwood, of Cordele, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement, and Public Drunkenness.

Saturday, May 5

At 12:04 a.m., Cordele Police responded to Theft by Taking at 408 East 22nd Ave.

At 1:47 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1215 East 16th Ave (Wal Mart) in reference to Theft by Shoplifting. Elexus Hardrick and Raycelle Parker, both of Cordele were arrested.

At 3:09 p.m., officers responded to Shoe Dept at 1217 East 16th Ave. Steven Richardson, of Cordele, was arrested for stealing a pair of socks.

At 11:48 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 306 East 20th Ave in reference to a burglary. Initial investigation revealed that an unknown individual entered the dwelling and took several items.

Sunday, May 6

At 8:34 a.m., Police responded to 1204 South 10th St in reference to criminal trespass. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant about someone scratching up his vehicle.

At 9:10 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 416 East 1st St in reference to Criminal Trespass. Further investigation revealed the complainants vehicle was shot at several times.

At 10:10 a.m., Cordele Police were dispatched to 501 W 21st Ave in reference to a burglary.

At 12:12 p.m., Police were dispatched to 1009 South 14th St in reference to Criminal Damage to property.

At 1:46 a.m., Cordele Police responded to a vehicle theft at 111 West 5th Ave. The complainant advised that someone had taken her silver 2014 Chevrolet Captivia without her permission.

At 2:06 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 412 West 23rd Ave in reference to Shots Fired. While in route, police were advised that five to six shots had been fired in the area. Cordele Police searched the area but negative contact was made with anyone in the area.

At 3:29 a.m., Cordele Police responded to shots fired at 501 West 21st Ave. The complainant advised she heard four or five shots. Police noticed several holes on the outside of the house.

At 4:43 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 20th Ave and 13th St in reference to shots fired. While standing at 607 West 23rd St, police heard about 12 shots, which sounded like they had come from two blocks over. The area was searched but negative contact was made with anyone.

At 4:51 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 607 W 22nd Ave in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a resident that said she was awoken by shots being fired into her residence. A single shot was noticed to have been fired through a neighbor’s window.
