CCHS point guard signs to play in college

CORDELE- Crisp County senior basketball player, Alex Harvey, signed a scholarship last Friday, May 4, to continue his athletic career in college with Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, Georgia. The senior guard helped lead the Cougars to a spot in the second round of the GHSA AAA state basketball tournament this season.

Harvey averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 assists, and nearly two steals per game in his final season as a Cougar, while accumulating a shooting percentage of 48 from the field this season. He finished his career at Crisp County High School with over 300 points scored, nearly 110 assists and 60 steals, while recording a career field goal percentage of 46.
