Funeral services for Leann B. Fowler of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Pinecrest Baptist Church with burial following in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Leann, 76, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Crisp Regional Hospital. Born in Macon,  she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin Burkett and Nell Blanche Jackson Burkett, and a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She was a mail carrier for 27 years and was the previous owner of Kiddie Corner Day Care Center. She was an active member of Pinecrest Baptist Church for 44 years and a member of the Eunice Sunday School Class. Leann was also a member of the Cordele Garden Club. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Elan Fowler; five children and their spouses, Georgia Lee and Terry Ritchie of Macon, Greg and Missy Fowler of Stanley, NC, Andy and Carla Fowler of Nicholson, Wendy and Greg Turner of Americus and Leslyn and Kevin Koehler of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Madison Anslee Koehler, Colby Alexis Fowler, Mikaela Lea Fowler, MacKenzie Rae Fowler, Allison Fowler Saunders and Matt, Eian Lisle Fowler and Kelsey; a sister and her husband, Fay and John Boie of Macon; a niece, Lisa Bird of Atlanta; and several special cousins.
