A graveside service for Arthur Marvin Timmons of Cordele, will be held at 2:00 Monday, June 4, 2018 at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Marvin, 79, passed away Friday at his residence.  A native of Cordele, he was the son of the late James Rollie and Nannie Mae Thomason Timmons. He was retired from Pettis Tire Company where he had worked as a mechanic for many years. His passion in life for many years was cooking pork rinds at Arts and Crafts Festivals all around the state, along with his wife, Sharon. Marvin enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon G. Timmons of Cordele;  two sisters, Ethel Willard and Faustine Wiley and her husband, Grady, all of Cordele; a niece and two nephews, Janice Warren, and Hollis Clayton, and Barry and Bonnie Wiley; two very special young ladies that were like his grandchildren, Bryanna and Amber Guynn; and dear friends, Franklin and Abby Grimes and William and Joann Forsythe. He was preceded in death by siblings, James Timmons and Ruth Clayton; and two nephews, Dennis Willard and Wesley Willard. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
