Cordele Police Department Reports May 28 through June 3

May 28, 2018

•At 11:00 p.m. Officers responded to 9th Street at 20th Avenue in reference to shots fired. While enroute , central advised that the complainant did not want to make contact and stated two shots had been heard in the area.

•At 11:27 p.m. Officers responded to a burglary call at 501 West 10th Avenue. Upon their arrival the officers made contact with the complainant who advised that she came home and noticed her front door was open and that her TV was missing.

•At 10:15 p.m. officers responded to the area of North 5th Street and East 1st Street in reference to motorist assist.  Upon their arrival contact was made with the complainant who was standing next to his Green in color Chevrolet Aveo. The complainant stated that sometime on May 27, 2018 someone put rice in his fuel tank.

May 29, 2018

•Officers responded to 1014 East 24th Avenue in reference to an entering auto.

•At approximately 8:38 a.m. officers spoke with the complainant in reference to a stolen Sony PlayStation 4. The item was taken from 412 West 23rd Avenue, Apt. E.

•At 11:11 a.m. Officers responded to 105 East 14th Avenue in reference to a wanted person.

•Officers were dispatched to 1891 Sheppard Drive in reference to a burglary.

•Officers made an arrest of a wanted person, Calvin Carter of 708 South 15th Street, Cordele.

•Officers responded to a disturbance at 310 West 20th Avenue. Upon their arrival Officers spoke with Ms. Lakethia Paul and she advised that Mr. Rentavious Redding was cursing at her and her daughter and also saying that he would fight them. The Officers spoke with Mr. Redding and he advised that they were trying to fight with them. Redding was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and public drunkenness.

May 30, 2018

•Officers responded to a call in the 1800 block of 16th Avenue when Officers noticed a black vehicle with two open doors behind 1808 East 16th Avenue (Sunoco). Investigation revealed that Bernadett Clark was in possession of suspected heroin, a schedule 1 drug, syringes and tourniquets. Clark was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.

May 30, 2018

•Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Walgreens, 1024 East 16th Avenue. Upon arrival the driver of one of the vehicles was observed to be Lawanda Bloodsworth of 129 Twin Pines Road, Cordele, who had an active warrant. Bloodsworth was put under arrest for probation violation.

•Officers responded to 813 East 29th Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle. Investigation revealed the unknown person(s) took a 2016 Ford F-150 without permission.

•Officers responded to 1108 South 10th Street in reference to a theft of lottery tickets. Upon their arrival they spoke with the complainant who advised the officers that someone took his lottery tickets and refused to give them back.

•Officers responded to 809 East 17th Avenue in reference to an entering auto.

•Officers responded to the Police Department in reference to a walk in. Upon arrival the officers spoke with the complainant who advised that the right front tire in his white in color Mercedes-Benz was damaged by a pot hole in the roadway of Highway 90 at Highway 280.

•Officers responded to 701 East 23rd Avenue in reference to an assault.

May 31, 2018

•Officers responded to 1008 East 24th Avenue, Apt. C in reference to an Entering Auto.

•Officers responded to Dollar General at 1101 East 16th Avenue in reference to a disturbance.

•At 8:11 p.m. officers responded to the area of the 600 block of West 23rd Avenue in reference to reported shots fired. Central Dispatch advised that multiple callers had advised of a black female discharging a firearm in said location.

June 1, 2018

•Officers responded to a theft at 316 West 13th Avenue. Upon arrival officers spoke with the Angela Pauldo. Pauldo advised that Bobby Lewis took her air conditioner out of her window without her permission.  Officers attempted to located Lewis but was unsuccessful.

•Officers spoke with the complainant of 1014 East 24th Avenue, Apt. C in reference to a possible fraud.

•Officers were dispatched to 3400 Frontage Road, the Flea Market in reference to a theft.

•Officers responded to 196 South Hwy. 300 in reference to serving a warrant. Kelcy Gerrard Smith of 1401 Drayton Road, Cordele was arrested for failure to appear.

•Officers responded to 902 North 7th Street to the emergency room #11 in reference to a disturbance that occurred at 607 East 23rd Avenue.

•Officers received a walk in at the Cordele Police Department in reference to Terroristic Threats and Acts.

•Officers were dispatched to the Crisp County Law Enforcement Center, 196 Hwy 300 in reference to a wanted subject. Upon arrival contact was made with Mersadie Foster of 603-B Johnson Road, Albany, Ga. Foster was turning herself in on a Probation Warrant.

June 2, 2018

•Officers responded to 11th Avenue at Bass Street in reference to shots fired. While in route , Central advised that the complainant said that multiple shots had been fired in the area. Upon their arrival, Officers searched the area but had negative contact with anyone in the area.

•Officers were on scene of an accident at 402 South 7th Street, Dollar General when they heard one gun shot.

•Officers were dispatched to 402 South 7th Street in reference to a Hit and Run.

•Officers responded to 412 West 23rd Avenue, Apt. E in reference to a criminal trespass. Upon their arrival the officers made contact with the complainant that stated that someone broke the antenna off her car.

•Officers responded to 802 North 2nd Street in reference to domestic violence.

June 3, 2018

•Officers responded to 216 East 22nd Avenue in reference to a security inspection. While in route Central advised that the complainant stated that a female was standing by her residence door screaming for help and that the complainant saw a male dragging a female. Investigation revealed that the female received multiple visible injuries to her body.  Tyrone Adkinson of Cordele was arrested for Kidnapping, battery/simple battery-family violence, and criminal trespass (family violence).
