CCMS Lady Cougars advance to title game with win over Fitzgerald

CORDELE — The Crisp County Middle School Lady Cougars defeated Fitzgerald Middle School 8-0 on Monday afternoon to clinch a spot in Thursday’s season ending championship game.

Olivia Bridges took the win in the circle for the Lady Cougars pitching five shutout innings while striking out 11 Fitzgerald batters.

Reagan Bozeman led the CCMS batting lineup in the contest with four RBIs on three hits out of four at bats. Hagan Evans chipped in with two RBIs and one hit in three at bats, while Sara Ruth Raines had three hits and Braylee Duckworth had two.

The Lady Cougars will host Thursday’s championship game against Lee West at the Crisp County Rec Department fields at 4:30 p.m. Go out and support the hard-working CCMS Lady Cougars!
