Crisp County’s Emergency Management Agency along with local partners have made arrangements to provide “SAFE HAVEN SHELTERS” for those seeking a place during the period of high winds.

These “Safe Haven Shelters” are intended to only provide short-term protection during the high-wind event. There will not be any food or supplies provided at these “Safe Haven Shelters.”

Anyone concerned that their residence will not withstand the harsh winds expected during this event can seek TEMPORARY Shelter at Cordele City Hall, Blackshear Trail, or Arabi Baptist Church. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN ESSENTIAL ITEMS, AS NO FOOD OR SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED. THESE SHELTERS ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY.
