Cordele churches provide food, water to local needy

Food and water for residents who are still without power or permanent housing and are in need of food or water are available at several locations in Cordele.
- First United Methodist Church: MRE’s (Meals Ready-to-Eat), water, snacks (safe for those with peanut allergy) and Boost supplements provided by the Red Cross. These can be picked up at First UMC at 302 E. 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- First United Methodist Church: Free water and ice from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
- Pinecrest Baptist Church: Hot meals on Wednesday and Thursday (October 17 and 18) will be served from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The meals are provided by Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief; the address for Pinecrest Baptist is 1007 E. 19th
- Crisp County Sheriff’s Office: Free water and ice.
