The local Georgia State Patrol Post 30 is holding its annual Toys for Tots campaign. The ultimate success of this program depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate.

During November and December, GSP personnel will be working to collect new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our local community.

Toys for Tots is a highly respected charity, and your donations goes to its mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children in our very own community. Toys for Tots drop off boxes will be located at multiple local businesses. On the other hand, if you wish to make a monetary donation please send it to Georgia State Patrol-Post 30 or a Trooper will be happy to pick it up. All checks are to be written out to Toys for Tots-Post 30. GSP representatives will also be at Walmart every Friday and Saturday collecting toys or you can drop toys off by the State Patrol Post anytime Monday-Friday from 8-4.

GSP Post 30 and Toys for Tots are asking local businesses, civic clubs, churches and citizens to bring their new, unwrapped toy donations to the annual Christmas Parade on Thursday, November 29th. The troopers will stop their cars during the parade route so that we can fill their cars up with the toys.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Hannah Taylor or Cpl. Taunton at 229-271-4972.
