The Crisp County and Crisp Academy varsity basketball teams all played in region action on Tuesday night. The CCHS teams were both defeated by Monroe High in Albany, while CA’s teams split home games against Windsor Academy. Recaps of those games can be read using the links below.

Dooly teams sweep Schley County

Dooly County’s varsity basketball teams were in region action at Schley County on Tuesday night and came up with the win in both contests. The Lady Bobcats defeated Schley 44-37, while the Bobcats won a defensive struggle in the boys’ game by one point at 39-38.

Dooly stats from the boys’ game were as follows: Zeff Felton- 11 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two steals; Jeff Felton- eight points, nine rebounds, two assists; and one block; Shamon Zanders- eight points, two rebounds and one assist; Reggie Smith- three points, two rebounds, one assist and two steals; Eric Ivory-three points, one rebound, one assist and two steals; Rashad Lucas- two points and six rebounds; Tre Davis- two points; Towandi King- one rebound and one assist.

The win put the Dooly boys’ team at 13-6 overall and 9-3 in region to this point in the season.

The Lady Bobcat victory earlier in the night was their 15th win in a row, which puts their record at 16-3 overall and 11-2 in region 4-A play.

Dooly’s teams play at Marion County tomorrow night starting at 6 p.m., and then on Saturday in Cordele against Crisp County’s teams, also starting at 6 p.m.

 

Fullington drops region games against Grace Christian

Fullington Academy’s varsity teams played at Grace Christian Academy on Tuesday night, and both Trojan teams were defeated. GCA won the girls’ game 61-20 over the Fullington Lady Trojans, and followed that up with a win over the Trojans by a final score of 79-48.

The Lady Trojans went to 4-14 overall on the season with the defeat to GCA, and the Trojans are now 4-12 and 1-5 in the GICAA region 4-1-A standings. Fullington’s teams play the Academy for Classical Education in Macon tonight starting at 6 p.m., and they will be hosting Terrell Academy’s teams for games in Pinehurst tomorrow night starting at 6 p.m.
