CORDELE – Memorial services for Arlis L. Malone, 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service.

 

Mr. Arlis passed away at his residence Wednesday, March 20, 2019. He was a native of Cordele, Georgia and the son of the late Wynton Compton Malone and the late Mildred Pearce Malone. He was a retired truck driver for Service Supply Distributors and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Cordele Cruisers and the Flint River Area Bearer Busters. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Mr. Malone is survived by his wife: Peggy Malone of Cordele Ga., his sons: Butch Malone (Shelby) of Savannah and Jason Malone (Amy) of Cordele, Ga.; his brother: Floyd Malone (Angie) of Byron, Ga.; his sister: Lyndall Burke (Cecil) of Armuchee, Ga.; his grandchildren: Brittany Duckworth, J.C. Malone, Lauren Malone, Noah Malone, Gunner Malone, Kaeleb Willcox, BreeAnna Malone, Hannah Taylor and Savannah Malone, great-grandchildren: Lason Lee Mixon, Rosa Faye Duckworth and Milleigh Butler.
