Sherry Ann Hurdle, age 57, of 691 Bobcat Trail, Nicholls, Georgia, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at her residence.

Sherry was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on April 12, 1962.  Even though she was born with physical disabilities, she was an exceptional person who loved life and never met a stranger.  She loved to sing and watch television.  Her favorite shows were the Dukes of Hazzard and In the Heat of the Night.  Her mother dedicated her life to caring for Sherry until her own health issues made that impossible, however, her sister, Connie stepped in and continued the personal care Sherry needed.  Sherry had formerly attended Third Street Baptist Church in Cordele.

She is survived by her mother, Freida Frederick of Douglas; her father, John Hurdle, III of Vienna; her sisters, Debra Hurdle of Nicholls, Connie McNulty of Nicholls (Mike) and Lisa Moreno of Copperas Cove, TX; her brother, John Hurdle, IV of Ty Ty; her aunt, Peggy Lovett of Cordele (William); her niece, Ann Marie Shugart of Tifton; her nephew, Albert “Bubba” Shugart of Candler, NC; her great nieces, Sidney Shugart of Candler, NC and Renee Shugart of Candler, NC.

The family would like to thank Sherry’s special caregiver, Tina Carter.

Graveside services were held at 3 PM Friday, May 3 at Vienna City Cemetery.

Rev. Brian Leverett officiated and recordings of “Dancing in the Sky” and “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone” were played.
