CORDELE – Funeral services for Delores “Tonsie” Woodard Tucker, 74, will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born in Cordele, Ga. and the daughter of Joseph William Woodard and Addie Louise Barfield Woodard. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Dwayne Woodard.
Delores was an active member of Northern Heights Baptist Church. She was a member of the ladies Sunday School Class. She also was an active member of the Senior Citizen Committee. She was faithful to her church and Lord.
She is survived by her aunts, Gladys Mixon and Ruth Bowen both of Cordele, a niece and many cousins.
Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to Northern Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 1102 East 8th Ave., Cordele, GA 31010 or PruittHealth Hospice, 708 East 16th Ave., Cordele, GA 31015.
