According to the MaxPreps score tracker, the Crisp Academy Wildcats led 6-0 early in the first quarter of their game at Rock Springs Christian Academy on Friday night following a 55-yard touchdown pass from Noah Mercer to Baylor Pless.

The home team went on to score 34 unanswered points during the first half to take a commanding lead over the Wildcats.

CA cut the hosts’ lead to 34-12 late in the second quarter with another touchdown pass from Mercer to Pless, this time from eight yards out.

The Eagles subsequently added a touchdown and two-point conversion later in the second period to take a 42-12 lead into halftime.

Rock Springs scored their final points of the night in the third quarter with a touchdown and extra point for a 49-12 lead.

The Wildcats scored the only points of the fourth quarter on a short touchdown run by Mercer, followed by a two-point conversion pass from Mercer to Garrett Gravitt.

Those final points of the night left the hosts on top 49-20 at the conclusion of the contest.

Crisp Academy will be on the road again this week for the second game of the season, as they will make a trip up to Macon to play the Covenant Academy Rams (1-2 record so far this season). The Wildcats and the Rams matched up in Cordele during the early part of the regular season last year in GISA 11-man football and Crisp won the contest 40-0.

 

Fullington Academy 24  Central Christian 0

The Fullington Academy Trojan football team evened up their overall record at 1-1 on the season after picking up a 24-0 road win over the Central Christian Academy Crusaders on Friday night in Sharpsburg.

Jack McLeod had a big night for the Trojan offense to help lead the team to the victory. He finished the game with 15 rushing attempts for 141 yards and two touchdowns, while also tacking on a two-point conversion.

Riley Reed helped out the cause with 18 rushes for 91 yards and the other Fullington touchdown.

Carson Godfrey contributed six carries for 24 yards and a two-point conversion on the night for the Trojans, and he also completed four out of eight pass attempts for 57 yards and one interception.

The Trojans will be back on the road for their next game, as they will travel to play Lafayette Christian Academy (2-1) in LaGrange this coming Friday night.

 

Worth County 37  Dooly County 7

According to the MaxPreps scoretracker from Friday night, the Worth County Rams led 27-0 at the start of the third quarter. Dooly County’s only points in the game were put on the scoreboard by way of a touchdown late in the third period. Worth added to their lead later on in the contest for the 37-7 final score.

Up next for the Dooly County Bobcats (0-1) is a road game at Fitzgerald High School (1-1) on Friday night. Fitzgerald defeated the Bobcats in Vienna last season by a final score of 27-26.
