George H. Conner, age 77 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Crisp Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 26th in the Pitts Church of God. Visitation was one hour before the service from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Pastor Hugh Anderson officiated. Interment was in the family plot in the Pitts Cemetery.

Mr. Conner was born on February 22, 1942 in Pitts, Ga. He was son of the late Albert Hendron Conner and Minnie Gibbs Conner. He was a member of the Pitts Church of God and was a retired truck driver with Lasko Corp. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was preceded in death by a sister-Quidafa Smith and a brother-Ashford Conner.

Survivors include: wife-Nadine Conner of Pitts, daughter-Georgianna (Scott) McGuinty of Pitts, son-Tim (Tara) Conner of Pitts, 4-grandchildren-Patrick (Cassidy) McGuinty, Mary-Margaret (Grant) Graham, Nadia Conner and Daniel (Mariah) Newsome, sister-in-law-Melba Conner of Pitts and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Patrick McGuinty, Daniel Newsome, Grant Graham, Tommy McDonald, Ronnie Conner and Jeff Conner.

Alice Powell played prelude and postlude and sang “Serenaded by Angels” and Rev. Brett Jarrell sang “Heaven Just Got Sweeter”.

Frazier and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
