Fullington defeats Citizens Christian 

The Fullington Academy Lady Trojan softball team picked up a road region win against Citizens Christian Academy on Thursday by a score of 13-3 after six innings played.

Ella McGalliard pitched all six innings for the Lady Trojans and allowed just two earned runs on seven hits while striking out five to get the win.

Maddy McLeod and McGalliard led the Lady Trojans offensively in the contest with three hits and two RBIs apiece. Maggie Rogers, Parker Wall, Carlee Roberts, Carmen Phillips, and Marley Jones each finished the game with two hits. Lillie Grace Register and Lauren Rucker both finished with one hit.

The win brought the Lady Trojans’ overall record to 10-3 on the season. Their next game on the schedule is set for Tuesday afternoon at Community Christian in Adel at 4:30 p.m.

 

Wilcox falls to Telfair 

The Wilcox County Lady Patriots fell to a 12-4 home defeat against region opponent Telfair County on Tuesday afternoon.

Chastity Stephens and Destiny Tisdol both finished the game with a pair of hits for the Lady Patriots. Bailee Barnard and Grace Keene both added one hit apiece.

The defeat put the Lady Patriots at 11-5 overall on the season, and 9-2 in region competition. The next game on the schedule for Wilcox is set for Tuesday afternoon at home against Charlton County.

CA drops pair of road region games 

Crisp Academy’s softball Lady Wildcats played two road region games this week. On Tuesday they fell to Terrell Academy in Dawson by a final score of 16-1, and then on Thursday they fell to Southwest Georgia Academy in Damascus by a final score line of 18-3.

Eliza Hill recorded two hits, two RBIs, and one run for the Lady Cats in Thursday’s game. Abigail Brown scored the other two runs for CA in the contest.

CA will host Westwood on Tuesday afternoon for their next game.
