A memorial service for Peggy Hayslip Culpepper of Cordele will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the graveside at Cedar Creek Cemetery. Peggy, 75, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her residence. She was preceded in death by siblings, Charlie Hayslip, Douglas Hayslip and William Hayslip.  She was born in Cordele and was the daughter of the late Charlie Reese Hayslip and Leila Mae Doggett Hayslip. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and sister and enjoyed her family and the time she had with them. She loved fishing and reading but her passion was gardening. Her flower beds and yards were a showplace. Peggy is survived by her husband, George Culpepper; her children, Angie Harris of Cordele and Roy Clinton Johnson, Jr.; a brother and his wife, Gary and Diane Hayslip; four sisters, Ann Hayslip Buchanan, Gail Hayslip Tomberlin, Leona Hayslip Conn and Nell Hayslip Williams; and her four grandsons.
