Fulton F. “Sunny” Rosser, Jr., 80 of Cobb, Ga. passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Navicent Health Center In Macon. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Sunnyside Cemetery. No visitation will be held, but the family will speak with friends following the service.

Sunny was born in Cordele and was the son of the late Fulton Forrest Rosser and Alice Surles Rosser. He grew up working in Cordele, having a paper route as a young man, working with his father in the Culligan Water Softening business and working in the hosiery mill. He received his degree in engineering from Southern Technical Institute in Chamblee. As a young man, Sunny was very involved in the Little League program and coached for several years. He started his career in the scrap processing equipment industry as a draftsman at Harris Press and Shear in 1960. During his many years there, he had several titles, rising to Project Engineer, then later simultaneously serving as Chief Engineer and Service Manager. He also worked with IPS and UXB International in later years, both companies also in the scrap processing business. He was the holder of many patents in the industry, one being awarded in the past year. In addition to his engineering expertise, he was involved in many business ventures with close friends.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth Hamrick Rosser of Cobb; his children, a daughter and her husband, Karen and Hunter Hamilton of Marietta and a son and his wife, Rob and Tracie Rosser of McDonough;  a grandson, Riley Rosser; sister and her husband, Barbara and David Culpepper of Cordele, brother-in-law and his wife, Joe and Pat Hamrick of Lawrenceville; three nieces, Dana and Bill Hardy, Dawn Culpepper and Susan and Rick Alexander; and two grand-nephews and a niece, Rus Hardy, Ryan Alexander and Lauren Alexander.
