Mr. Terrence Navontae Jackson Grant, “Vontae,” was born on February 4, 1975 to the parentage of Mrs. Brenda Jackson Edwards and Mr. Leroy Grant in Cordele, GA. He made his transition from life to life eternal on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mrs. Clara (Charlie Carr) and Mr. Ike (Justine Grant).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will receive friends Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Terrence graduated from Crisp County High School in Cordele. He’s a proud graduate of the “Class of 94.” After high school he attended Georgia Southwestern where he received his welding degree. He had several jobs over the past years until  a decline in health. He enjoyed grilling and entertaining family and friends. He loved the Oakland Raiders.

To cherish his memories he leaves his son, Master Terrence Navontae Jackson, Jr. of Cordele; his loving parents, Mrs. Brenda (Walter) Edwards of Cordele and Mr. Leroy (Amelia) Grant of Miami, FL; a devoted sister, Mrs. Nyesha (Jawann) Hardrick of Vienna; his step-sister, Mrs. Alicia (Jermel) Broussard of Lake Wells, FL; a step-brother, Mr. Reginald Edwards of Decatur; his niece, Shoneshia Jackson; nephews, Kenyatta Hunt, Jr. and Jadarious Hardrick, all of Cordele; a host of aunts and uncles to include, Mrs. Bonnie Mae Porter, Mrs. Joe Ann (Charles) Kerr, Mrs. Martha Ann Jackson, Mrs. Cassandra Harris, Mrs. Andrena (Isreal) Raines, all of Cordele, Mrs. Donna Faye Kearse of Cocoa, FL, Mrs. Gloria (Gerald) Street of Rex, Mr. John Jackson, Jr., Mr. Kenneth Jackson, Mr. Carl (Lula) Jackson, Ronnie (Tina) Grant, Mr. Ike (Alexandria) Grant, Mr. Johnny (Tuiesha) Grant, Freddie Grant, Sr., all of Cordele, Mr. William (Donna) Jackson of New Orleans, LA and a host of cousins and dear friends.
