Cougars get Lanced by Trojans
On a night  fraught with weather delays the traveling Crisp County Cougars didn’t need to have to open up the 2015 campaign on the road against the 7th ranked 6A Lee County Trojans but that is precisely what happened.
The Cougars who are for all practicable purpose still rebuilding faced a monster in Lee County on Friday night and came up on the short end 42-0. Lee County who totes several D-1 prospects on their roster especially on the defensive front played in the Crisp County backfield at will. The Trojans relentlessly pursued the Cougar quarterback and running backs like a pack of dogs on a fox hunt.
“The boys made a lot of costly mistakes and of course Lee county was real good up front but we have to get better.” “ The guys didn’t lay down though they fought till the end and the defense played very hard and came up with some sacks,” said Head Coach Shelton Felton. “We can correct mistakes which we will do as we prepare to go play Colquitt County in Moultrie.”
The Cougars have a daunting task with two early season games against two powerful 6A teams but the 3rd game of the season is at home against rival Worth County.Cougars on the move
