Z. W. “Bo” Dalrymple

CORDELE — Funeral services for Z. W. “Bo” Dalrymple, 87, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James Spires and Rev. Buford Tanner officiating. Judy Wills played the piano for the service and accompanied Buford Calhoun has he sang “Lighthouse”. Kim Stephens sang “Anchor Holds”.  Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery with Rev. Royce Freeman officiating.
Pallbearers were: Bo Presley, Gene Bodrey, Billy Dalrymple, Tommy Watson, Larry Dalrymple and Fred Day. Honorary Pallbearers were the Hatley Baptist Church Adult Sunday School class
Mr. Dalrymple passed away at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. He was a native of Wilcox County, Georgia and the son to the late George David Dalrymple and the late Maggie Barefoot Dalrymple. He was also predeceased by his brothers: Jim Dalrymple and S.T. Dalrymple; and his sisters: Lilly Watson and Roxie Dalrymple. Mr. Dalrymple was a retired sewing machine mechanic for Singer Sewing Machines and other manufacturing companies in Crisp Co. and Wilcox Co.  He was a member of Hatley Baptist Church and a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Mr. Dalrymple is survived by his wife: Betty Dalrymple of Cordele, Ga.; daughter: Gloria Phillis Shiver of Albany, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.
