CORDELE – Funeral services for Joe V. Fraser, 81, will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 p.m 8 p.m.
Mr. Fraser passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his residence in Cordele, Ga. He was a native of  Dooly Co. and the son to the late Charles E. Fraser and the late Ila Cantrell Fraser. He was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, Nascar and dirt track racing and most of all his family. He was preceded in death by his wife: Meda Fraser; grandson: Kevin James Fraser; brothers: Charlie Fraser and Luther Fraser; sisters: Carolyn Fraser and Ilene Mashburn; daughters-in-law: Darlene Fraser and Dorcus Fraser.
Mr. Fraser is survived by his sons: Mike Fraser and his wife Renee, Dennis Fraser, Ricky Fraser and his wife Kathy all of Cordele, Ga. daughter: Sherry Fraser Barker of Cordele, Ga.; brother: William A Fraser and his wife Doris of Cordele, Ga.; sisters: Pasty Ethridge and her husband Jack of Statesboro, Ga., Louise Pilkinton and her husband Bythan of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Brenda Potter of Cordele, Ga.; grandchildren: Michael Fraser and his wife Michelle, Kedra Gay and her husband Gene, Dennis Fraser II and his wife Mandee, Korey Fraser and his wife Kim, Kristy Fraser, Erica Odom and Amanda Joe Odom; great-grandchildren: Taylor Fraser, Stephanie Fraser, Breanna Rhodes, Brayden Gay, Braxton Gay, Carmandee Fraser, David Fraser, Khloe Fraser, Kenleigh Fraser, Heidi Coffee, Zayden Odom and Nathan Odom; brother-in-law: John Mashburn; sisters-in-law: Cloyes Fraser and Edith Craig; special niece: Gail Craig and a dear friend: Nathalee Wade.
